FearFree

FearFree

FearFree is a charity that supports families impacted by domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking across Wiltshire and the South West.

With over 2.1 million incidents and crimes of domestic abuse and sexual violence recorded by our police forces in England and Wales last year, and less than one in every four domestic abuse crimes ever reported, there is a good chance that someone in our lives, whether a family member, a co-worker, or a friend, is currently in or will be in an abusive relationship.

The sad reality is that, because this is generally a hidden crime, committed behind closed doors, they will most likely suffer in silence.

That’s where FearFree and you help change that...

We support over 10,000 adults and children every year to not only keep them safe but to rebuild their lives fulfilled, happy and free from fear and abuse.

We also run successful programmes that enable people to recognise, address and stop their abusive behaviour, as well as programmes that raise awareness of the signs of abuse within schools, and programmes which help people impacted by abuse to get back into education, employment and training.

FearFree change lives, provide hope for the future, and give people the opportunity and skills to flourish in their future relationships. Not just for the short term, not just until the next time. But permanently

"I think of your service like a lighthouse. We are out at sea on a boat trying to survive and I honestly think we’d have lost our way without you. But at the scariest time when I didn’t know what to do next and how to survive, you put the light on and guided me and my children safely back to shore."

Your support will help save and change lives:

• £10 could purchase a sensory toy to help a child feel safe during a support session.

• £50 could purchase a simple smartphone to enable a victim to make safe contact with our services.

• £80 could provide a week’s food shop for a parent and their young children who have been forced to flee abuse.

• £150 could fund a video doorbell to enable a victim of stalking to feel safe in their own home and collect vital evidence used by the Police.
