My Story
Why am I running for the British Dyslexia Association?
When I was 4 I failed to meet my early learning goals.
When I was 6 I scored below average on my year 2 sats.
When I was 8 I was diagnosed with Dyslexia.
I believe every person with additional needs or a specific learning disability like Dyslexia, deserves the same access to education and employment as their nurotypical peers. Unfortunately, there are so many barriers that prevent nurodivergent people from accessing these things. However, charities and associations like BDA can help support and combat these barriers so that everybody is equal!
This is my first time running anything more than a 5k so I am very excited for the challenge! It would mean so much to me if you were able to sponsor me, if not please share my page so I can help raise money for this amazing charity!!
Finally, a shout out to my running buddy Layan! We are going to be running this half marathon together and I am so exited for the experience and memories it will bring!!
Here is a little video to show you what race day is like!!
