Team Jackie
About
Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer. Sadly Jackie died in 2012 aged only 46, within a year of diagnosis.
Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. Little has improved over the past 50 years, despite much greater progress with most other common cancers. Families are left with only hope to hold onto. They need more. So we all need to do more. Together, we can bring more than hope to people affected by pancreatic cancer.
Over the past 12 years Team Jackie has raised almost £300k in her memory, funding breakthrough research and earlier diagnosis. But much more is needed and we are still only at the start of our journey to defeat pancreatic cancer. We need more research, earlier diagnosis and more support through expert nurses.
This is our final run as a team (although many of us will continue to support the ongoing fight against pancreatic cancer), so please help us finish this incredible endeavour on a massive high!
Please give generously in the fight against this awful disease - and in Jackie's memory!
